Guardian Life Lead Quality Assurance Test Engineer in Holmdel, New Jersey
Overview
Guardian LIfe Insurance Company is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Lead Test Engineer to oversee the testing efforts within our Broker Compensation domain. This individual will oversee the creation, execution, and improvement of testing processes, ensuring that the software products meet high standards of quality and performance. The Lead Test Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage a team of testers, and be responsible for ensuring the robustness, scalability, and efficiency of our testing frameworks.
You Are:
A seasoned and experienced QA professional with experience in Group Life & Health Insurance Industry
A leader with excellent communication skills that can provide a comprehensive testing status to stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work through complex issues
A strong bias towards engineering and automation in testing.
You Will:
Drive test strategy and approach, ensuring thorough test coverage documented, including functional, integration, regression, and End to End scenarios.
Serve as the domain expert in Broker Compensation functions and workflows.
Identify and implement opportunities for test automation, including recommendations on tools, developing scripts, and integrating testing into CI/CD pipeline.
Maintain and improve testing frameworks to increase efficiency and coverage.
Build relationships and collaborate with Product Owners and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into test plans and test cases.
Track and analyze testing metrics to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
Proactively manage risks and identify solutions.
Ensure team adheres to defect management process; lead defect triage meetings and ensure timely resolution.
Report testing progress and results to stakeholders.
You Have:
7+ years of experience in software testing, including 3+ years in a lead role.
Proven experience with both manual and automated testing
Excellent Communication and leadership skills
Location & Travel:
- Two days a week at a Guardian office in Holmdel, NJ and three days a week remote.
Salary Range
$99,190.00 - $162,955.00
The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
