Guardian Life Head of Workplace and Collaboration Technologies in Stamford, Connecticut
As the Head of Workplace and Collaboration Technologies at Guardian, you will lead the strategy and implementation of workplace technology services, enhancing collaboration and productivity across U.S. and India locations.
You Are:

Someone with a solid understanding of Workplace Technology, including Windows Operating Systems, O365 and the entire Microsoft Email and Collaboration suite, End-point Security, Patch Management and Software Delivery
Diligent, organized, and determined to successfully implement solutions
Focused on continuous improvement to create a best-in-class Workplace Technology organization
You Will:
Collaborate with the Head of Enterprise Technology to establish objectives and standard operating procedures
Lead and enhance employee experiences with reliable and efficient technology solutions
Find opportunities and develop justifications for spending and initiatives, including identification of risks and cost/benefit analyses
Enhance the Workplace Technology metrics to show actionable opportunities for improving the employee experience and meeting SLAs
Coordinate internal and external audit activities for Workplace Technologies with external vendors and internal teams
Manage Infrastructure and digital workplace team(s) to acquire resources, and align and coordinate priorities, work plans, and activities
Define, develop, and expand the Service Desk, based on best-practice processes, disciplines, and related toolsets
Provide direction on emerging technologies, communication and collaboration products and services within Workplace Technology
Provide leadership, guidance, and supervision to Workplace Technology and Collaboration organization to provide superior results
Ensure IT security policies are strictly effective to mitigate risks
You Have:
10+ years’ of experience as a senior leader in Workplace Technology or similar role
Familiar with Microsoft products - Windows OS, O365, SCCM, SharePoint, Defender, etc.
Experience with Windows and MAC based laptops
Understanding of endpoint tools such as JAMF or equivalent
Working knowledge with monitoring tools such as Nexthink or equivalent
Excellent leadership and customer management skills
Demonstrated experience in working with globally distributed resources
Understanding of network & endpoint security principals
Solid understanding of automation and standard methodologies
Must be self-motivated
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to peers and management
Strong problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage and lead large teams
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Technology or relevant field
Excellent oral and verbal communication skills
Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information
Able to produce reports and complete work within deadlines
Able to work well with interdepartmental teams and initiatives
Location & Travel:
The position must be located in one of the following office locations: Holmdel, NJ, New York, NY (Hudson Yards), Boston, MA, Stamford, CT, or Bethlehem, PA
The position will be Hybrid with 2+ days in the office
Salary Range
$148,970.00 - $244,745.00
The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
